Strand Delivering nabs 'Michael'

Strand Delivering has acquired all US privileges to Markus Schleinzer's drama "Michael" from L'ensemble des Films du Losange."Michael," which in fact had its world premiere within the primary competition at Cannes, focuses in about the last five several weeks of the 10-year-old boy's existence underneath the charge of a guy who keeps him locked away inside a room inside a basement.The film may have its United States premiere Friday in the Toronto Worldwide Film Festival. It is the debut feature for Schleinzer, whose previous efforts like a casting director include "Dog Days," "whitened Ribbon and "LOvely Rita."The film continues to be offered to a lot more than 14 European areas including Artificial Eye in United kingdom, Wild Bunch Benelux , Fidalgo in Norwegian, Filmcoopi in Europe. Films du Losange will release the film in France on November. 2.Strand is planning for a Feb release for "Michael' within the U.S. The offer ended between Strand's Jon Gerrans and L'ensemble des Films du Losange's Agathe Valentin.
